Promiso 8.1.1 added the ability to retrieve files for reports that you have previously generated from the Promiso server.
Let’s say that a user generates a complex report that takes 30 minutes to complete. They then mistakenly close the resulting .pdf file without saving it. It is now possible to retrieve the file for the report without the needing to generate the report again. This both saves the user time and frees up resources on the server for other tasks.
A report file for a previously generated report can be retrieved by:
- Clicking the Retrieve Report… button to bring up the Retrieve Report File dialog.
- Select a row for the report you wish to retrieve. The Display Conditions button can be used to bring up the View Report Conditions dialog that will show the report conditions used to generate the report. This can be useful if you are unsure which report to select.
- Click the Retrieve button to retrieve the file for the report.
💡 NOTE
- Files for generated reports will only be kept for the configured number of days. This number of days is shown at the top of the Retrieve Report Dialog.
- Administrator level users can retrieve reports for all users. Coordinator/clerical and professional level users can only retrieve files for reports that they have generated.
